HONEY
That honey is an anti-inflammatory is not a mystery. But not everyone knows that black bee honey has up to 10 times more antioxidant properties than any other honey. It also has antifungal substances never before found in honey. In general, with the same polyphenol content, honey has anti-inflammatory properties as many fruits and vegetables. Depending on the type of honey we can find different properties, such as soothing and relaxing, purifying or diuretic.
In particular, it is noted that the consumption of 20 grams of citrus, medlar and almond honey per day would provide the body with a quantity of myricetin, a polyphenol correlated with the lower risk of prostate cancer, of 2, 6 and 12 times the dose correlated with the lower risk.
