ARTICHOKES
Artichokes contain inulin, which acts as nourishment for the most useful bacteria that prevail over the strains of the most dangerous ones present in the intestine.
They are also rich in fibers that satiate and hinder the absorption of sugars contained in the rest of the meal, cleanse the intestine of toxic substances. According to a study by the World Research Fund, 30 grams of fiber per day have a protective function against colon cancer. Artichoke is also useful in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
