ORANGES & LEMONS
The presence of potassium in lemons and oranges brings important benefits to the heart. Lemons can regulate heartbeat and counteract the action of sodium by reducing blood pressure, thanks to their vasodilating effect. Oranges, on the other hand, lower blood pressure and lower cholesterol levels. Oranges promote the reconstitution of connective tissue collagen for the benefit of bones and teeth, as well as cartilages, tendons and ligaments. In these citrus fruits there is a natural carotenoid which, if taken regularly, has been shown to be able to counteract the effects of estrogen and fight the development of tumors. Both, thanks to the presence of vitamin C, are an excellent source of natural antioxidants that help reduce harmful free radicals and fight aging.
